Resolved Question: what kind of track would fit a 1974 moto-ski?
by Yahoo! Answers: Search for
I BOUGHT IT TODAY MAN ITS AWESOME. i love it. but the track, is a little bit worm, and and iddler wheel needs replacing. but im just wondering how much a track would cost if in a month or so i would need a new one. and for you sled enthusiasts: this is my first sled. i have lived here in canada since i was 6, but since my family was poor (and drank) to this day have never even really rode a snowmobile. i lived in a small town and had few friends, so i only rode friends snowmobiles every once in a blue moon. not enough to be able to ride it without saying "i dont know how the hell to ride this thing!" haha. and i would have bought one when i was 18 and started working, but because of family health problems i had to move to mexico for about 4 years, where i was originally from. now i moved back here in june. at the age of 22, and i bought this 1974 moto-ski. my first car was a 1986 chevrolet caprice classic, 2nd car i bought a 1984 volkswagon scirocco my third car was a 1990 buick le sabre(not a classic lol), so after i sold that car, i got another classic because i love them. my current car is a 1973 Ford ltd with a 400, which is ok because work is a short walk. all these years ive never had a sled, this one im keeping. im sure ill be riding it for years and years. another interesting thing someone might enjoy.... i live in a small town, i live at the bottom of some rolling hills that are just amasing. i have never seen them in the winter, because i just got my snowmobile today and havent been up there since fall. there used to be a railroad taht went all through there, passing right beside a golf course, and about a mile from some very nice ski trails. two years before i moved here or so, they took out the railroad tracks. so now there is just a trail going through bush, by the golf course, and right by awesome ski trails. a friend and i rode our dirt bikes all through the hills following the railroad all summer. The lush bush and forest in the hills is awesome. so im gonna be riding my BEAUTIFUL 1974 moto-ski all through there allll winnteerrrrrr. and winter is even better than summer cause i can ride just about enywhere. only thing is, we havnt got alot of snow yet. but it is the end of november and the forecast calls for snow!
