I'm concerned with the Malibu's fuel consumption - here in Canada the price of gas is sky high
Thanks so much

I have a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado with 141k+ miles that has recently given me problems starting. It has been fine until my father decided to put a quart of fuel injector cleaner in to my tank, which was almost empty, when it is supposed to be put in to a full tank.
Now it is very inconsistent starting- sometimes it will be normal, sometimes it will start and then idle roughly for a few seconds, sometimes it will turn over 4-5x before starting, sometimes it will start and die, and one time it started TOO well.
I can't prove that the fuel injector cleaner did that to my engine, but let's say it has never had a problem and once it was put in it started. My thoughts are either the fuel injectors are now clogged somehow, the O2 sensor was damaged, the fuel filter was somehow damaged, the fuel pump, or the spark plugs have fouled. Any experience with this?
In addition the fuel injector cleaner has caused problems in our jet-ski's too, one of them was running roughly and we had to pay for a new carb to be imported from canada and installed, which ultimately did not solve the problem AGAIN.
What is it with the fuel injector cleaner that is messing up our engines and any ideas on self-fixing?
Possibly sticky intake valves?
No, the check engine light is not on
